Vedat Akgiray is currently a Professor of Finance at Bogazici University in Istanbul, and Chairman of the Board of the Center for Applied Research in Finance (CARF) in Turkiye.
He directed the doctoral program in finance from 1992 to 2009, the M.S. Program in Financial Engineering from 2002 to 2009.
He has advised more than eighty graduate students, published and presented more than one hundred academic papers.
