Born in 1974 in Istanbul, Murat ONUK completed his undergraduate education at Istanbul University, Faculty of Economics in 1999.
Between 1993 and 1999, he assumed different executive positions in the IT sector. He worked at Microsoft Türkiye between 1999 and 2004 and at Microsoft Headquarters (Redmond, USA) from 2004 to 2009, initially in EMEA (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) and subsequently in senior positions with full responsibility for all countries worldwide.
From 2009 to 2010, he worked as a Deputy CEO at TTNET and between 2010 and 2012, he was an advisor to the CEO at Türk Telekom.
