CARF Established
The Center for Applied Research in Finance (CARF) was founded to promote research in financial management, corporate finance, and financial technologies. The Center for Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation was also established to strengthen financial governance and market transparency.

The Center for Applied Research in Finance (CARF) was founded to promote research in financial management, corporate finance, and financial technologies. The Center for Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation was also established to strengthen financial governance and market transparency.
Recognition as Advanced Research Center
On June 3, 2025, CARF was officially recognized as a National Research Infrastructure under Law No. 6550 and designated as an Advanced Research Center for 2025–2030.
The center focuses on three core areas:
– Blockchain and Financial Technologies
– Sustainability and Finance
– Finance and Corporate Governance
Strategic goals include expanding doctoral research capacity, securing externally funded projects, increasing international publications, and achieving financial sustainability.
Research Themes and Impact
Research spans ESG integration, sustainable finance, environmental impact assessment, infrastructure finance, carbon market development, blockchain applications, and financial disclosure practices. CARF contributes to policy design, financial innovation, and the integration of sustainability principles into Turkey’s financial ecosystem.
National Hub for Sustainable Finance
CARF serves as a national and international research hub at the intersection of finance, sustainability, and technology, supporting Turkey’s transition toward a sustainable financial system.
