Development of a National Eco-Labeling Approach for Cosmetics and Personal Care Products and Establishment of an Information Transfer Platform

The main objectives of this project included establishing national standardization in the personal care products and cosmetics sector, increasing the added value of products, and enhancing the level of knowledge and technology in economic applications, thereby improving both local and global competitiveness. Furthermore, knowledge and awareness regarding eco-efficiency and eco-innovation in the personal care products sector were increased. In line with current legal requirements, methods and policies were developed to enhance international competitiveness. Within the scope of the project, an Information Transfer Platform was developed, an ecolabelling checklist was prepared, and five Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) studies were conducted for different personal care products (PCPs).
