This project was prepared to support the “Innovative Software Application for Integrated Solid Waste Management” project coordinated by HEAT Information Technologies, with the aim of developing a medical and hazardous waste management system. Within this scope, Türkiye-specific waste statistics, the content of medical and hazardous waste regulations, the responsibilities of producers and municipalities, the classification of wastes, and the management processes for medical and hazardous wastes from generation to disposal were evaluated in accordance with environmental awareness and legal frameworks.
