While ensuring the preservation of Bogazici University’s historical, cultural, and ecological fabric, it is aimed to prevent environmental pollution and to improve the management of energy and natural resources through the active participation of university stakeholders. In this context, within the framework of the Sustainable Green Campus Program, planning and organizational activities—such as technical implementations in energy, land use, and waste management, as well as seminars, conferences, and educational initiatives—are being carried out. The project was awarded the “Zero Waste – Good Future” Prize by the Presidency of the Republic of Türkiye in November 2018 and received the “Future Promising Entity” distinction as one of six awards granted to different categories of national organizations. This recognition highlights the project’s contribution to the development and implementation of effective zero waste practices at the institutional level.
