Year: 2009 – 2012

Institution: Bogazici University, Scientific Research Projects Coordination

Status: Completed

The aim of this study is to conduct an environmental and economic analysis of second-generation bioethanol production from lignocellulosic biomass. Simultaneous saccharification and co-fermentation was employed in the conversion of cellulose to ethanol, and the assessments were carried out using GaBi4 LCA and LCC software, based on data obtained from the literature.
